Meagan’s community and service to her neighbors has always been important. Through volunteerism, legal aid, and politic activism, Meagan will continue her dedication to her neighbors in House District 80 as your State Representative.
Meagan is an active member of the Junior League of Atlanta. She mentored young women from Cross Keys High School and presently volunteers at the Ronald McDonald House in Sandy Springs. Meagan is the former Chairman of the State Public Affairs Committee for the Junior Leagues of Georgia that coordinated legislative efforts to fight the sexual exploitation of young women and children and fight for immediate legislative action to address this epidemic.
As a practicing family law attorney, Meagan puts her experience in the courtroom to good use by handling pro bono legal matters in the community. Combining her legislative knowledge and family law experience, Meagan serves on the Family Law Section of the Georgia Bar Association’s Legislative Committee. In 2014, James Magazine listed Meagan as one of the most influential attorneys in Georgia.
Meagan has been active in the Republican Party for over 15 years. She worked on Capitol Hill for Senator Jeff Sessions of Alabama where she handled his military, defense, and foreign policy issues. After graduating law school at the University of Alabama, Meagan ran the campaign for the Jefferson County District Attorney in Birmingham, Alabama. Meagan joined the board of the Georgia Young Republicans as Treasurer in 2011; she served as Chairman from 2012 to 2015. From 2013 to 2015, Meagan was a guest panelist on Fox 5’s The Georgia Gang discussing local, state, and national politics.
Meagan won the competitive Republican Primary by focusing on the issues that affect House District 80 and talking with thousands of voters right on their doorstep. She enjoys the support of former U.S. Presidential candidate Carly Fiorina, Georgia Attorney General Sam Olens, and many members of the Georgia General Assembly.
